Hi all, <BR> <BR>Dates for the next two meetings are Tuesday October 18 at Canfield High 7-9 ish as usual and Monday November 14 at YSU Ward-Beecher room 2026 7-9 ish as well. Hope you can make it.<BR> <BR>What you missed:<BR> <BR>Robert shared ideas for resources in teaching astronomy. Roy shared a couple of ideas from the Acoustical Society's workshop. Brandon and Mike shared ideas for "inexpensive" materials for teaching about current vs voltage, interaction of magnetic fields and a Faraday's cage for a radio. Gregg discussed the physics department's interest in applying for an ITQ (Improving Teaching Quality) grant. Jodi shared an extremely friendly (and free) web site for generating graphs that can be imported for worksheets/tests-- after prompting from Mike, she also shared images she and Roy had taken of the new supernova in M51.<BR> <BR>Roy<BR> </div></body>
